Elul DAY 13✨DAY 700 🎗️An Hour of Compassion
 
Today is Day 13 of Elul and we are in the midst of exploring the prayer of Avinu Malekinu/Our Parent, Our Sovereign.  But today is not only Day 13, it is also Day 700.
700 days since October 7th.

ELUL DAY 9 – “One thing I ask of God”
 
Today I want to share with you a verse that speaks to me, it is verse #4.
 
 אַחַ֤ת שָׁאַ֣לְתִּי מֵאֵת־יְהֹוָה֮ אוֹתָ֢הּ אֲבַ֫קֵּ֥שׁ שִׁבְתִּ֣י
 בְּבֵית־יְ֭הֹוָה כׇּל־יְמֵ֣י חַיַּ֑י
 לַחֲז֥וֹת
This year – have you yelled at God? Begged God? Thanked God? Bargained with God? Doubted in God?
 
Before the high holidays, let’s explore the idea of having a relationship with the Divine. It’s an elusive idea. And an intimate one.
