SVIVAH Book Club
The SVIVAH Book Club is reading When We See You Again by Rachel Goldberg-Polin
Rachel Goldberg-Polin’s memoir, When We See You Again (out April 21, 2026), shares her journey in the aftermath of her son Hersh’s abduction and murder following October 7th. It’s a story of grief, and love, and advocacy, and what it means to keep going when everything is shattered. It's a story of strong women* and the communities that hold us.
“I sat down to write my pain, and out poured loss, suffering, love, mourning, devotion, grief, adoration and fracturedness.”
This story is hard. Its author is one of the strongest voices of the past three years. Rachel Goldberg Polin has called us together before – let’s read her story together now.
At SVIVAH, we believe there is powerful Torah in the stories we carry. Each one of us carries Torah in our lived experiences and, through our stories, we all have something to teach. Let’s start with Rachel Goldberg Polin’s story.
