Ogen: Anchoring Together
Cultivating a Practice of Resilience
with Dr. Naama Sadan
"Ogen" is Hebrew for "anchor."
This six-week workshop is an invitation to cultivate a practice of resilience with insight and connection, anchoring our week with 30 minutes of Jewish wisdoms of self-awareness and emotional precision. Join us on Mondays at 12pm ET from Jan 26-Mar 2 . Come when you can. Attend all sessions, or join us for a the ones you can.
Taught by beloved SVIVAH educator, Dr. Naama Sadan, Ogen offers a much needed space to explore resilience through the spiritual teachings of Yemima Avital, renowned feminist psycho/spiritual scholar and educator.
The “Yemima Method” emphasizes an integration of psychology and spirituality, centered on internal observations, self-understanding, and emotional clarity. Each session will weave reflection, learning, and Jewish mystical wisdom in Naama’s unique way of teaching.
This workshop welcomes learners of all backgrounds, no previous experience or knowledge of Hebrew needed.
Bring a warm drink, something to write with and write on, as we give ourselves these 30 minutes to anchor.
Let’s start the week with a space to steady.
About the teachings:
Yemima Avital (1929–1999) was born in Casablanca, Morocco, into a family with deep Kabbalistic roots. At 20, she moved to Israel, where she developed a unique spiritual-therapeutic approach integrating psychology (in which she was trained) with Jewish spirituality, thought, and Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism). Her teachings continue to guide thousands seeking inner grounding, clarity, and resilience.
