When Mother’s Day is Hard:

Circles of Support

With R’ Dalia Davis, R’ Aliza Sperling, Caryn Malkus MA LCMFT, Dr. Julie Bindeman, Dr. Esther Altmann, Batsheva Ganz, Dr. Michelle Sarna, Rina Phillips, Dr. Dahlia Topolosky, Monica Sass, Dr. Linda Gundsberg, and more

In partnership with Eshel, Shomer Collective, I Was Supposed To Have A Baby, Bamidbar Therapy, Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains, ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, and more

For some, Mother’s Day is a joyous time when we as mothers are celebrated or when we have the opportunity to celebrate our mothers.

But, what if we are not yet a mother and desperately want to be?  What if our mother is no longer living? What if our relationship with our child(ren) or with our mother is strained?

Sometimes Mother’s Day can feel more like a time to cry than a time to laugh.

Today, we want to come together around the ways motherhood/mothering/mothers are hard — in community with others who may be having a similar experience. Join our supportive circles for an opportunity to reflect on the complexity of the word “mom” with other women* who are going through a similar moment.

These small circles will be facilitated by experts in the field who will hold space, share their wisdom and create a supportive and compassionate environment.

Rabbanit Dalia Davis + Rabbanit Aliza Sperling will gather us all together before we break off into separate groups. Stay as anonymous as you need.
