Heart to Heart: Letters from Us to You

Heart to Heart: Letters from Us to You

Write from your heart to the women* of Israel for Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day

“Words that come from the heart, enter the heart.”

We have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions since October 7th and many of us are deeply feeling the physical distance from Israel and its people.

The upcoming Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, is going to be incredibly painful. We wanted to try to get a little bit closer to giving the hugs of support we wish we could share in person with the women of Israel.

We are inviting you to write a note to the women of Israel – to show your support, to send strength. In partnership with Gluya and other Israel-based entities, your note will be read by women across Israel who – like our own SVIVAH community – will come from a wide variety of circumstances. These women will have varying religious affiliations, live in different parts of the country, and they will have any number of different lived experiences of October 7th and its aftermath.

We ask you to please keep your responses personal, not political.

And, like all times we gather, we ask you to show up with your full and wonderful heart.

What you are holding will help hold others.

Thank you for writing.

If you would prefer to send your letter via email, please send it here.

SVIVAH is dependent on the generosity of those who choose to invest in a powerful community of women. As always, cost should never be a barrier to anything SVIVAH, but if you can, please help us continue this work. www.svivah.org/donate

*SVIVAH defines "Jewish woman" as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women. If you want to be here, we want you to be here.
