Join SVIVAH's powerful community of women* for a Krav Maga Women*'s Empowerment Training Seminar offered with Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA) and by the insanely talented professional team of Krav Maga Maryland.
Women's personal safety is an important conversation that needs to be given space. We are excited to be working with such powerful partners to bring this program to you!
We will be offering two concurrent trainings: one for ages 14-18 and one for 18+. Our high school participants will have a brief highlight session of JCADA's "It's Not Love" Safe Dating curriculum, beginning an important conversation with our high school participants. We will come together as a multigenerational group for a final training sequence. JCADA counselors and their support team will be available both during the training and after.
*This training is for female-identifying participants only ages 14+. Our Krav Maga instructors and JCADA counselors are all women.
This training is appropriate for individuals of all physical capabilities. Participate to your personal activity comfort level. The verbal instruction and content is valuable in its own right, even if you choose to watch and observe the training.
Please come dressed comfortably (gym clothes are appropriate) and bring a water bottle. There are locker rooms available at the gym.
There is ample free parking and this location is metro and handicap accessible. It is located directly next to Bloomingdales/Whole Foods in Friendship Heights.
